Is being "called up" to the main roster a good thing leaving NXT?

                                                         ©Wrestling Goons Radio 2014

Is Being Called Up To The Main Roster A Good Thing Leaving NXT:

By: Brian Compton

In a time of plummeting ratings and stale storylines, you may find yourself clamoring for more NXT talents to be called up to the main roster of WWE, in an effort to revitalize the current RAW and SmackDown shows. But what if the answer is not adding to the main roster but rather, rebranding it? What if, by removing pieces of the puzzle, it helped you see the picture for what is really is? These questions are by all intents and purposes, rhetorical. However, there is one question I will ask you, that resonates with not only the fans but with the wrestlers themselves:

What does it really mean to be called up to the main roster?

For some, being called up to the roster is their opportunity to showcase their talents for the world; for others, the desire to remain in the intimate surroundings of the Full Sail University, amidst hundreds of loyal and diehard NXT fans, is greater than the instant stardom that may very well await them on the other side of the metaphoric curtain. This of course, depends, on who you ask

NXT Champion Finn Balor live in Houston, Texas

Finn Balor, (or if the battle wills his primeval nature) The Demon, is the current NXT Heavyweight Champion and has gone on record as stating:

"What we're doing at NXT right now is groundbreaking. It's revolutionary. For me, it's like a Renaissance period in wrestling, and I want to be involved in NXT, I don't want to go to the quoteunquote main roster.”

The picture above is from the NXT live event that took place for the first time ever in Houston, TX. I was fortunate enough to have front row seats to the event and the experience was one that I will forever remember. The intimate settings was one of solidarity and division amongst the crowd once common enemies were formed. There was something truly special in the air that night as is for every night the NXT wrestlers step into the ring.

Although, the success of the NXT is undeniable, some believe that the answer to the declining Raw and SmackDown ratings is calling up some NXT talents to breathe some fresh air into the stifled storylines and lackluster matches. However, I challenge you to look at the situation from a different angle; take NXT’s rapid success and use it to improve the current product by implementing the ideas, not the talent.

I will be writing another article to address how I would revitalize the current product so look for that soon. But it’s simple really, you can grow you roster without adding to it, simply utilize the talent that you have and emphasize the characteristics of the NXT brand to the main roster to where we look back and remember how it revolutionized the wrestling industry by becoming the standard for what wrestling should be

I don't want to get called up, so to speak, because I believe that we at NXT are building something together that is going to be looked back on in 10 years the same way that we looked back on the ECW period as being revolutionary at that time, and this is something that I want to be involved in.”

-Finn Balor

If You Can't Live With Roman Reigns As The Man By Now, You Never Will

Roman Reigns is destined to be the champion eventually

It must be something in the Pennsylvania air. In 2014 at the Royal Rumble in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the fans left the arena rioting that night, going as far as blocking wrestlers cars from leaving the arena in the parking lot. What caused such a ruckus? Batista had won the Royal Rumble and earned a spot in the main event at Wrestlemania 30 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The crowd wanted their hero, The Yes Man, Daniel Bryan to win the Royal Rumble. But, alas, he was not even in the match. As Rey Mysterio entered as the final competitor at number 30, the crowd would spend the remainder of the night booing profusely directly at Batista. It came down to the final two men. The man who opposed him? Roman Reigns. That night, the crowd was ready for anything but Batista, and Roman Reigns would gladly be accepted as that guy on that night. Batista ended up winning that match and moving on. We all know by now the rest of the story. CM Punk quits. Daniel Bryan has two matches in one night to steal the show and the spotlight and the crowd goes home happy two months later to right a wrong from a few months back.

The Rock celebrates with Roman Reigns after winning the Rumble
Fast forward one year.  Up the road in Philadelphia, the Wells Fargo Arena was rocking as Daniel Bryan's music hit. This year he was in the Royal Rumble and the crowd was amped. However, a few moments later, Daniel Bryan was casually clothes-lined over the top rope and left much more quietly than he arrived. Once again, the crowd erupted into a mad frenzy. They realized at that moment what was destined to happen. Roman Reigns was winning the Royal Rumble. The crowd reverted back to their Pittsburgh foe and chose anyone that opposed Reigns until the very end, with Rusev being their final hope. It failed and Reigns stood victorious in the ring amidst a shower of boos. The WWE sent The Rock in the ring for damage control (either that or they were clueless that the crowd was not being supportive of Roman at the time) and he looked just as stunned as creative appeared to be. Thankfully for the WWE, RAW was cancelled the next night due to a snow storm and they were able to do segments from the studio where a live audience couldn't react immediate. This could've been the biggest blessing in disguise for the WWE. A late Christmas gift from Mother Nature. Over the next two months, the WWE continued to tease Roman losing his spot. At Fast Lane following the Rumble, they gave Daniel Bryan the chance to take Roman's spot. This split the crowd and in the end Reigns got the win, adding more heat to his doubters that he was being given something he didn't deserve more so than Bryan.
Wrestlemania 31 from Santa Clara, California would be the final culmination of Roman Reigns ascension to the top. It had been no secret since he was signed in FCW that Roman Reigns was the future in the WWE brass' eyes. He's the cousin of The Rock and part of the Anoa'i family tree. He has everything that's promotable in a superstar. Why just one year before did the same WWE crowds cheer crazily for Reigns to get the spot, and just one year later rebel against it? Its a question that remains unanswered but has several theories. Regardless, as WWE has to do for Wrestlemanias, they had to find a way to send the crowd home happy. Enter Seth Rollins.
Seth Rollins becomes The Man
As Reigns and Lesnar slugged it out back and forth, with a defiant Reigns laughing from a bloody lip refusing to lose, the music of Seth Rollins hits mid match and he runs down in a heated sprint with briefcase in hand and inserts himself into the main event. The rest is history with a few curb stomps later. Once again, Roman Reigns was THAT close. So it begs the question to the WWE Universe. Why can't you just be satisfied with what you're watching? What would make you happy? Last year, nobody had an issue with Roman Reigns winning as long as it wasn't Batista. This year, everybody has a problem with Roman Reigns winning. The same reasons are given when the topic comes up. "He doesn't deserve it". That stems from the fact that he didn't spend a decade working the indies or training since he was a teenager. He was a football player turned wrestler and in certain fans' eyes, that does not garner the respect needed to be the top guy. Other reasons are his promo skills are lacking, his move sets are limited, and he can just be flat out boring at times.
The words "wrestler" and "entertainer" should go hand in hand, but between the WWE brass and the WWE Universe, the roles are seen very differently. It would seem the IWC wants their top guy to be a great in ring performer. Anything else is secondary. The WWE believes wrestling is secondary to entertainment. There's no doubt Roman Reigns is entertaining. The crowd is split in half when he comes out much like John Cena. You either love him or you don't. To the notion that Roman doesn't deserve it though, I will say this. The man works 300+ days a year on top of doing all the promotional stuff outside of the ring and the charity events. Its a very high demand on top of the physical strain 5 nights a week getting beat up. Back in the day, wrestlers may have worked 3 times a week on a full schedule. Its completely unfair to base who "deserves it" against the standards of wrestling in the territory days. Roman has put in the work as much as anyone else on the roster. His move sets may be limited, but everyone is if you really stop and analyze it. Whether it be Daniel Bryan's kicks, or Cesaro's uppercuts, everybody has a series of moves they do to get themselves over. Roman is no different.
Roman Reigns and John Cena are the faces of the WWE
Going back to the Royal Rumble with The Rock standing in the ring raising Roman Reigns' hand, it was almost a flashback looking at the garbage being tossed in the ring to Rocky Maivia and "Die Rocky Die" chants. Just 18 years previously, Dwayne Johnson had been hated by the crowd after being pushed as the future. The crowd did not buy into his persona. This is how Rocky Maivia died and The Rock was born. Is this a route they should take with Roman? He still wears his Shield gear and comes through the crowd. Nothing has changed with his gimmick. Logic would say he has to change something eventually, whether it be his entrance, attire, music, moves, something. Roman Reigns is also being groomed for Public Relations as well. For years, John Cena has been the front man for the Susan G Komen Cancer partnership with WWE. But, this year, Roman Reigns stood beside him in the ring. It appears more and more that WWE already has their next man picked out to build their empire around. But will the WWE Universe buy into it?
A famous nature boy once said "Whether you like it, or you don't like it, you better learn to love it.". That's where the WWE Universe is at right now. They've spent a decade either loving John Cena or hating John Cena to the core. Roman Reigns is on that same path. So, you can either get on board and enjoy the ride, or spend the next decade plus sucking on sour lemons and striking your keyboards angrily being internet warriors week after week complaining about how Roman Reigns doesn't deserve it, yet he's the guy the show will be built around. As long as Roman Reigns keeps his work ethic at top notch and he wants to be, The Roman Empire will reign over WWE for many years to come. Believe That!

WGR's Hell In A Cell Preview and Predictions According To Anthony

This Sunday, live on the WWE Network (or $54.95 on PPV if you are into throwing money away) from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, WWE Presents Hell In A Cell. For what is typically a B grade PPV, the WWE has thrown several superstars into the buildup old and new. It will be an interesting night to say the least. Why don't we get started with the preshow and work our way down?

Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro, and Neville vs King Barrett, Rusev, and Sheamus

Does it feel like a repeat from RAW? Oh, because it is. I'm guessing they are going to build three man teams all around. Does this mean we get a trios title eventually? I was really wanting Dolph Ziggler to turn heel amidst this Lana debacle, but that doesn't appear to be the case. To me, this is the feud of a bunch of people going nowhere fast. The match itself has six solid workers in it. It's just very hard for me to get into six man tag matches that have nothing to fight for. King Barrett being called a King is an insult to the King gimmick. He's been buried since receiving the crown and its getting worse by the week. They need the win here more than the babyfaces, so Im picking the Money In The Bank Brogue Kick to Neville for the victory for Team Middle East.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Kevin Owens vs Ryback

Anyone who has listened to the podcast by now or knows me personally knows I'm a Kevin Owens mark. I marked out the first time he eye poked Ryback because of how heelish and cheap it came off. I felt content a second time because hey, I can believe Ryback would fall for the same trick twice. But three times?
Kevin Owens is not impressed by Ryback
Come on now, Big Guy. After seeing Owens powerbomb Mark Henry on Monday Night, watching him powerbomb Ryback should look effortless. Apparently Ryback has a powerbomb now too, so does that make this the battle of powerbombs? I just hope Kevin Owens can win without an eye poke. Do a nut punch. Do a foreign object. We haven't seen brass knucks in ages! But I do see Kevin Owens winning. Whats next for Ryback?

The Dudley Boyz vs The New Day
New Day Rocks! Unfortunately, they will not be victorious on Sunday. I can see the writing on the wall. Time and time again,
Xavier feels the wrath of the 3D again
The New Day has escaped with cheap wins over The Dudleyz, and in the world of wrestling that can only mean that the opposite happens on the PPV. However, look for the rematch to be a "Tables Match", and don't expect The Dudleyz to win their specialty match. New Day will rise again! Now WWE, please don't ignore Bubba Ray's ability to be good or bad. He's learned to cut damn good promos since he's been gone in that "Indy Promotion" you referred to on NXT this past week.

WWE Divas Championship: Charlotte vs Nikki Bella

I am 99.99% certain Charlotte wins here. It just makes no sense to take the title off of her so early just to give it back to the former champ after her longest reign. However, I said that with AJ and Paige and we saw how that went. I don't expect Charlotte to have a long title reign. Sasha Banks is who the crowd wants and eventually that's who they will get. For now, Charlotte will do fine. The match itself should be good for its spot on the card. Nikki Bella can be hated and that's fine, but people who refuse to give her in ring work credit (especially since the NXT callups) isn't being impartial.

WWE Title: Kane vs Seth Rollins (if Kane loses, he is no longer Director of Operations)

I could not be happier that this stipulation has been added for the title match with Rollins and Kane. Its ironic that I have always pushed for Kane to have a bigger role and always been a fan of him, but I just cannot get behind this Corporate role and Demon role that intertwine at the same time. You can look at Finn Balor and see it done properly as there is a morphism happening so to speak. Kane's comes off as completely unbelievable and in a way it takes away from the demon aspect to me because you realize he's just a demented man rather than this evil cryptic monster.
Kane sends a message to Seth Rollins
As for the actual match, I expect Kane to lose. If he wins, you'd basically have the GM booking the show around himself as the champion. Granted that sounds like a HHH coming from the Authority, BUT, I think a vindictive monster only Kane coming after the Authority is.......wait for it.........Best For Business

John Cena Open Challenge
Its the million dollar question we get every single week. Who will it be? We have all heard the rumors by now. Wrestling Goons Radio and yours truly has been saying for weeks now that THIS is John Cena's final match for two months. He's not being promoted for any shows until December 26th, I won't mention who he is facing on that card as it may be a spoiler, but for now I will say this could be anyone and I literally mean anyone. At first, I thought maybe it could be Dolph Ziggler with that superkick from RAW.

Who will accept John Cena's open challenge?

Then Tyler Breeze debuted on Smackdown as Summer Rae's new boo, and blew that heel turn theory out of the water. So could it be Tyler Breeze? That seems to be an IWC consensus. I am not so convinced. Its so early that while Kevin Owens did beat John Cena in his debut, I can't see Tyler Breeze doing the same. Whoever that leaves, they need to win this title if Cena is going away for two months. With that said, could it be Sheamus? He has a six man tag match on the preshow, but he could definitely face Cena later in the night. A wild card for me that I haven't heard anyone mention is Daniel Bryan. Yes, I am aware WWE isn't allowing him to wrestle. With Cena being gone, that could change. For now, Anthony will say with my final pick.......Dolph Ziggler still. Give it to him and Tyler can chase that.

Roman Reigns Vs Bray Wyatt (Hell In A Cell)

I've tried very hard to invest myself in this storyline and I just can't. I love Bray Wyatt and I don't mind Roman Reigns as much as some others may, but the story has just been.....bad. I still need to know Michael Cole......WHERE IS LUKE HARPER?!?!?! I'm glad Rowan is back but good grief. Connect some dots here when you give me something new on screen. The Wyatts supposedly won't matter anyway with Hell In A Cell (because we've never seen any magic tricks before or someone climb over the top). They say this is the be all end all (although Bray has said numerous times wherever Roman goes he will be there. Forever). I surely hope this is their last encounter. I expect Roman to win and continue making Bray look like crap. Its getting harder feud after feud to believe Bray Wyatt as a serious individual rather than a hokey fat man with delusional thoughts and false propaganda. WWE had something special with The Wyatt Family, and I'm unsure if they will ever rekindle it. I'm anxious to see the future of Braun Strowman mostly. Not so much for his ability, but just what direction they can do with the behemoth.

The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar (Hell In A Cell)

This feud began a decade ago. The Undertaker has never beaten Brock Lesnar (cleanly). Their last encounter saw Brock Lesnar lose technically to a choke out, but that came at the controversy of a quick triggered time keeper, a low blow, a blind ref, and sheer luck. This Sunday is the be all to end all in this feud as well. Lesnar has

Where it all began at UFC 121
vowed to take everything left from The Undertaker at Hell In A Cell, and Taker says you can't take anything from a man who has nothing left. He's lost the streak, his pride, and now Sunday he has a chance to lose the final match in an illustrious feud with his signature match being his downfall. The irony of a storied career begs the question that so many want to know for two years now. Why Brock Lesnar? For twelve years, The Undertaker has been doing favors for Brock Lesnar. He obviously saw something in him years ago that he still sees today. Regardless of the outcome, I must give credit to The Deadman for this run of matches in 2015. He has shown that he does still got it. However, at Hell In A Cell, The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar will remain supreme and last man standing

Final Thoughts
For a B Grade PPV, this is a pretty solid card. Every title is defended, and we have several unknowns along the way. My hope is that many of these feuds (Dudleyz/New Day, Roman/Bray, Kane/Seth, Taker/Brock) all wrap themselves up and we can move on to something else. Stay tuned here for the Post Show Podcast to follow WWE Hell In A Cell and The RAW Reaction for all of the fallout that awaits us.

Tyler Breeze To The Main Roster: Promotion or Demotion???

Tyler Breeze To The Main Roster
Promotion or Demotion???
By: Anthony Hammett
Tyler Breeze had become a fan favorite with the NXT Fans

Earlier this week the news came down that Tyler Breeze had "quietly" been promoted to the main roster. He worked a dark match before the Smackdown tapings on Tuesday where he defeated Damien Sandow. This news comes well deserved for Breeze, who was one of the original cast of the new NXT. His gimmick is flamboyant and arrogant. Its everything you would want a prototypical heel to be in 1985. The problem is, this is 2015.

Over the last two years, he has had amazing matches with Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn, Tyson Kidd, Antonio Cesaro, Hideo Itami, and recently Jushin Thunder Liger. While his character may be slick and prim, when the bell rings his aggressiveness takes over and slowly the NXT crowd began to embrace Breeze as one of their own. He went from being a hated man to someone the crowd appreciated for his aggressive style along with the development of his character outside of the ring. When both are together, Breeze makes it apparent that he can be a main eventer. But will he ever get the chance to be?

In all of these feuds mentioned above, Breeze came out on the losing end. He has never been NXT champion. Now it appears he may never will be. This comes at a time when the crowd has strongly gotten behind Breeze at Full Sail where they record NXT. Is this move to the main roster because they have a spot prepared for Breeze, or is it a way to quiet the NXT crowd from demanding he get the belt? NXT has planned who has the title for a lengthy period of time and Tyler Breeze is obviously not part of those plans.

With John Cena set to take time off after Hell In A Cell, this could also be just a timing thing where there's an open spot and Breeze gets a chance to fill it. Can the WWE Universe get behind his character the way the NXT crowd did? That remains to be seen. Many people will not understand the depth of the character. They will see him taking selfies and protecting his face and immediately write him off as another Gorgeous George. Don't be that fan to make that mistake. Give Prince Pretty a chance to shine, WWE. He deserves the spotlight.

So, what do you think? Is this WWE giving Breeze a chance or is he a filler? Will we ever see him back in NXT holding championship gold that eluded him? We shall have to see how it all plays out.

Rusev Proposes to Lana: What Does WWE Do Now

Rusev Proposes To Lana:
What Does WWE Do Now?

             By: Anthony Hammett
Lana got the gold on her finger first from Rusev

Social media exploded this past week with the news that two WWE talents got engaged. "The Bulgarian Brute" Alexander Rusev and "The Ravishing Russian" Lana took to social media together with Lana proudly showing her engagement ring and a smile to boot. Congratulations to the two obviously, but now what does WWE do?
In the world of WWE in a land of predictability, they had to expect this would happen at some point, right? Ever since Rusev lost to John Cena at WWE Payback, the WWE has ran an angle where the couple split and Lana moved on to Dolph Ziggler. Rusev meanwhile started dating Summer Rae. This past Monday on RAW, Summer Rae proposes to Rusev. Rusev accepts her offer but NOT until he has championship gold. See the problem ahead?
What do they do now? Does WWE pretend this real life story didn't happen and continue running stories where Rusev stalks and belittles his now real life fiance? They could put Dolph with Summer Rae as they teased a few weeks ago (it begs the question if WWE knew of Rusev's proposal to Lana, which was said to be back in August). They could've started changing things then. But hold on, there's more as to why THAT might not work

Dolph has other interests in mind
While Ziggler has been fancying both Lana and Summer Rae on camera, in real life he has appeared to be lusting once again for Nikki Bella. On the season finale of Total Divas, Dolph leans in for a kiss as the two are standing alone and the cameras fade to black. The two have a history that dates back a few years where they briefly dated on and off. The catch here would be Nikki Bella's new boyfriend is WWE megastar and the new King of Titan Towers, John Cena. On this past week's edition of RAW (mind you, the same episode Summer Rae proposes to Rusev) the show ends with Ziggler "accidentally" super kicking Cena. Could they be building towards a feud between those two, with Nikki Bella being part of the love triangle? They did try a love triangle with Cena a couple of years ago with Zack Ryder and Eve, but it was very brief and they didn't make Cena come off looking as a bad guy too much, and of course Ryder was buried shortly after. But, that's another story for another time.

How does WWE clean this mess up? Someone is going to be left out in the end, and that someone appears to be Summer Rae. Rusev will likely end up back with Lana and it will be interesting to see how they tie up all of those loose ends. Dolph Ziggler was stuck in limbo, so a feud with John Cena couldn't hurt his career in the short term, but could it put a final stamp on the glass ceiling like a Zack Ryder love triangle did? So many questions need to be answered, and it needs to be soon. However, with John Cena's two month absence set to take place at Hell In a Cell, we may not see any pieces of the puzzle start to fit together until 2016.

One thing is for certain, and that's nothing is for certain. Here's some future advice to anyone in creative writing. Be very careful when turning real life relationships into storylines. You can only control the work aspect of it.

Beware of Fraudulent Wrestling Websites - Sports-Kingz

Sports-Kingz.com/ringkings is a satire site with fictitious articles or strictly opinion based matter. Take it with a grain of salt

Don't Believe Everything You Read

By: Anthony Hammett

In the world of professional wrestling, access to information has become easier and easier thanks to the internet. We once had to wait feverishly on the next issue of PWI to hit the stores so we could catch up on all the gossip we couldn't see on TV. Now with your phone or tablet or laptop or gaming console, you are just a couple of letters away from all the information you can gather across the globe.
With the vast array of resources, its important to use resources with credentials. For example, Dave Meltzer of PWTorch is the voice of this industry for the "inside scoop". Dave knows things first. However, lately, I have noticed a serious trend within the IWC. This trend has started from a website called Sports-Kingz. I have not read their other sections of their website, but I can verify that 100% of their wrestling articles are more fake than the product itself.
For example, when you click on the home page, you will see the featured article from October 4th "Click to see Main Event of Wrestlemania 32 Revealed". Its very obvious to anyone with common sense that WWE would not release this information to anyone. But, the sheepish fans flock to this garbage and they reshare it with other fans, creating a community of misinformed unitelligence.
My cry to you is to PLEASE do your own research. If an article seems sketchy, do a quick search to cross research yourself. See if there is other stories out there that match up to it and give it some credibility. When you do, I think you will come to find that Sports-Kingz is a fraud.

THIS IS NXT! By: Anthony Hammett

THIS IS NXT
By: Anthony Hammett

"It started with a whisper". Those were the five words uttered by Paul Levesque, AKA HHH, as he stood in the middle of an NXT ring amidst a packed crowd in the Barclays Center of 13,000 fans. He spoke softly at first, just as if it was only you and I and him together. Then the lights hit and the crowd roared. This was no longer a developmental system. He grabbed the microphone and simply said the only three words that needed to be said. "THIS IS NXT!"
WWE, NXT, HHH, Brooklyn, TakeOver

So what is NXT? It started out as a developmental system in Florida. in August of 2012, WWE closed down its former feeder system in Winter Park, Florida called Florida Championship Wrestling. They kept a bunch of the talent and workers, and rebranded themselves. HHH had a vision for a place where they could have a top notch facility to hone their craft. He achieved his dream a few short years later. Enter the WWE Performance Center.

It has 7 rings inside it, all specialized for each ability. They've made each ring set up differently for high flyers, women, and big men alike. They have promo classes which were instructed by one of the greatest in the business, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Dusty passed away this year, but his fingerprints are all over NXT, and we got a glimpse of how much last night in Brooklyn.

WWE, Full Sail, Performance Center, NXT, WWE

In just 3 years, NXT is no longer just a developmental brand. They are a brand within itself. The crowd last night in Brooklyn was as rabid as an ECW crowd. They were supportive of the people they liked and they were against the people they didn't. It had a magical feel to it. HHH had struck a gold mine. I can only imagine the satisfaction he had to feel standing in that ring hearing 13,000 people chant NXT to the top of their lungs. They had come a long, long way from Full Sail University.

If you need any more proof of what kind of a difference NXT makes, just look at the main roster right now. Its a ever growing list that will soon be filled with NXT blood. Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns were part of the first class, along with Bray Wyatt. The next batch saw Neville, Bo Dallas, Sami Zayn, and The Ascension. But then, then WWE decided to pull out the big guns. They went out and they reached for the biggest names in the business from the independent circuits, and they struck gold. It started with Kenta Kobayashi. The Japanese sensation was lured in with the likes of Hulk Hogan and HHH in Japan to announce it. We now know him as Hideo Itami. That opened the door next for his friend, Fergal "Prince" Devitt to come over from land of the rising sun as well. He left his own faction "Bullet Club" and everything he built for himself as Prince Devitt to become Finn Balor. Lastly, WWE did something they wouldn't typically do. They signed a top independent star that was not the prototypical look. Kevin Steen wrestlles somewhere between 275-290, but he doesn't carry it so well. He looks like your average joe that spent too many nights at Mo's Tavern past last call. But when he's in that ring, he does special things that a man his size can't do. WWE let down their reservations and they took risks on guys that were different. We are seeing the benefits of that now as Kevin Owens is a force on the main roster, Finn Balor is the NXT Champion, and Neville is teaming with The Green Arrow tonight for Summerslam.

Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Neville, Sami Zayn, Hideo Itami, NXT, WWE

As big as this weekend is for the "NXT 5", aka, "The New Kliq", there was another kliq that stole the show last night, and it wasn't the men. NXT paid off a storyline 3 years in the making. All these women that are on the main roster now (Charlotte, Paige, Becky, Sasha) they were all there with Bayley. Bayley was always the forgotten one and the one not taken seriously. That all changed last night when Bayley hit a reverse hurricanrana off the top rope and then the Bayley to belly suplex to become the new NXT Women's champion.

Bayley, WWE, NXT, Brooklyn, TakeOver, Divas Revolution, Women's Champion

When the match was over, they had their own "kliq" moment. Charlotte and Becky came down to congratulate Bayley. Sasha grabbed the title and walked over and handed it to Bayley in tears and they all embraced. That's when they gave us the moment where they pulled the curtain back. They were not characters in a show at that moment. They were sisters who had made it together. The 4 Horsewomen ride away. In style. WOO!
Bayley, Beckly Lynch, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, NXT, Brooklyn, TakeOver, WWE

If you don't watch NXT yet, what is wrong with you? Its bar none the best one hour weekly television show, and you can get it on the WWE Network for 9.99, by the way. They keep making stars and that will continue. If there's a talent out there looking to make it in this business, HHH will find you. Apollo Crews (Uhaa Nation) is the latest in his projects to make into a star. The list above and the lists to come will just keep going, because this is NXT, and the future is NOW!

Hogan's Departure from WWE is business

Hogan's Departure from WWE is business
By: David Macarski

OK so we all have heard the news today about the racial remarks made by none other than Hulk Hogan.
As we know wwe has parted ways the the hall of famer after the remarks he made were made public. Hogan has been removed from wwe websites. Since the remarks were made today Mr hogan has since released a apology for his words.
In my opinion and that's what this is. Shouldn't have Mr Hogan have known better than making such remarks,Being a public figure and world wide known name. Now it has been reported that the remarks were spoken behind closed door. So yes you think you say what in the privacy of friends and family, but know what you say will 99.999% of the time be repeated in some manner or another especially if you are a public figure in this time of social media and other outlets of media.
So tell me goons what do you think about the whole situation? Do you agree with wwe removing him from the website? Let's get your feedback everybody.
I am 100% behind wwe for removing him from all media outlets. In lights of recent events as related to racial issues they do not need this kind of public relations nightmare.
Now I know I did not go into full detail of what was said because I myself will not use such words due to the words that were used and they shouldn't be used on here or any form but if you do want to see or read what was said heck just go anywhere on the web today and I promise you will see or hear it.
While this is not and will not be a easy subject to write on I will leave it as is and urge all people to cast race aside and live as one and love all as you love your own family and friends we are all in this world together.
Thank you for your time and as always catch ya on the flip side
